Itinerary: From Sant Antoni de Portmany to Cala conta - 1h10
Discover the southwest of the island with this easy bike tour, starting from Sant Antoni de Portmany. This pretty fishing town is the second-largest city on the island and has become a popular seaside resort for partygoers. Nevertheless, it is still very nice to visit and is a perfect starting point to explore this part of the island. Start by walking along the promenade along the huge bay of Sant Antoni southwards towards S'Estanyol to Punta de Pinet. Continue your walk along the coast to reach the port of es Torrent, an intimate sandy beach ideal for a short break with the family, it is also a good snorkelling spot. Push on to the Punta de Sa Pedrera and make a stop to observe the magnificent viewpoint with the cliffs and the sea. It is also a great place to watch the sunset. After this stop, take the road back towards the beach of Cala Bassa, the walk is pleasant because you will be in the pine forest, away from the hustle and bustle of the cities. Stop at Cala Bassa, one of the most beautiful and relaxing beaches on the island. There you will also find some restaurants and snack bars. Then continue on to the Torre d'en Rovira, a tower that was used to defend Ibiza. This place offers a magnificent view of the entire bay of Sant Antoni with Cape Nono in the background. Finish your bike ride by going to Cala Conta, with its unique view of the cliffs and turquoise water and the small islands in front. The beach is very pleasant with its turquoise waters and easy access. This place also offers a beautiful sunset.
Itinerary: From Eivissa to the salt marshes of Ses Salines - 1 hour
For this itinerary, visit the city of Ibiza - Eivissa, to the natural park of its Saltworks by bike. It is an easy ride, ideal for families or Sunday sportsmen and women.
The walk starts in the beautiful city of Eivissa, at the level of the Pau Park, ideal for shelter from the sun and the hustle and bustle of the city. Then go on to visit the amazing necropolis of Puig des Molins, a fascinating cemetery dating back to the 7th century BC. Continue in the direction of Paseo Vara de Rey, the main pedestrian street of the city surrounded by buildings of colonial architecture. Go a little further into the city, arriving at the foot of the Portal de ses Taules, without doubt, the most beautiful access to enter the old town of Ibiza. Don't hesitate to put your bike down to visit the Dalt Vila and its fortifications. Then head towards the port for a pleasant stroll to the lighthouse of Ibiza. After visiting Eivissa by bike, head south towards Cala d'en Bossa, the most famous and festive beach of Ibiza, where you will find many places to eat and drink. It also offers quieter places to enjoy a moment with your family. After this break, go to the natural park of Ses Salines and its salt marshes, and then to the southern tip of Ibiza at Torre de ses Portes. This ancient tower was used to defend the island against invaders, and also offers a beautiful view of the surrounding small islands and Formentera.
Itinerary: Discover the island of Formentera from north to east - 1h30
Direction the island of Formentera, next to Ibiza. Only 17 km long, the bicycle is the most pleasant means of transport to discover this beautiful place. Here's a proposal for a bicycle itinerary from La Savina to San Francesc Xavier in the centre of the island. For the more sporty among you, discover the island up to the tip of the Mola lighthouse to the east. Discover the beaches of the north and be dazzled by all the landscapes that you will meet on your way.
The route starts from La Savina, the perfect place to start exploring Formentera as it is the port where boats from Ibiza arrive. From this point, head in the direction of the Ses Salines Salt Marshes National Park. Here you will see beautiful scenery and you will be able to visit one of the most famous and paradisiacal beaches, Playa de Ses Illetes, with its turquoise water and family atmosphere, which stretches for more than 450 meters. Continue your bike ride in the direction of Es Pujol, passing through the salt marshes, you will be able to stop at Playa Es Pujol, a pretty beach rather urbanized but very charming. Take a ride by the Torre de Sa Punta Prima a little further, climb to the top to admire the view of the sea and the cliffs.
Go to the Playa de Migjorn, located in the south of the island, it is the longest beach in Formentera and has small coves between fine sand and rocks. After this relaxing break, take the inland road to Sant Ferran de ses Roques, a charming little village known as the ancient cradle of hippie culture. There you will find a small market where artists come to sell their works and also the mythical bar Au Fonda Pepe, which has seen the passing of great stars such as Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd etc. Finish this walk by the capital of the island, San Francesc Xavier, a very pleasant village to walk around with its small white houses.
For the more sporty, you can also go to the Mola lighthouse from the Migjorn beach via the highest point of the island (1500m). The road, in the middle of the pines, climbs for 3 km and requires a little physical effort. At the top you will be rewarded with a magnificent view of the whole island. After this somewhat difficult ascent, finish your cycling adventure towards the Mola lighthouse on the eastern tip of the island, perched on the cliffs, it offers a breathtaking view. The road to get there is also very pretty, surrounded by small stone walls to protect the wine crops on either side.
